+ DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?

We are an out-of-network provider, meaning that we do not participate directly with insurance companies.

Many patients have "out-of-network" insurance coverage and most sessions are usually covered at a percentage of what is "reasonable and customary" in their geographical area, based on the patient's individual plan. In order to do take advantage of this coverage, you pay for each visit out-of-pocket, and then file for reimbursement directly with your insurance company. We will provide the necessary documentation so that you are able to file with your insurance company for direct reimbursement.

You may wish to contact your insurance company prior to engaging in therapy to determine what the “out-of-network coverage” may be as well as their rate of reimbursement. Please be sure to inform them that you intend to see a licensed Ph.D.-level psychologist in Boca Raton, FL as the educational level of the therapist and geographical area where the therapy is delivered may impact the reimbursement rate provided by your policy. You may also want to provide your insurance carrier with the correct procedure code for this service (for ex., 90834 is typical for a 45-minute individual therapy session). In all cases, it is up to the patient to contact their insurance carrier and find out what reimbursement schedule they work within.

+ DO YOU PRESCRIBE MEDICATION?

Providers at CBT-PB are licensed clinical psychologists, therefore we do not prescribe medications. We do not have psychiatrists on staff, but we can provide you with referrals for excellent psychiatrists in the area.

+ DO YOU PROVIDE PSYCHOLOGICAL TESTING AND EVALUATIONS?

We currently do not offer psychological testing at CBT-PB. We do, however, collaborate frequently with school personnel and independent clinicians in the community who provide such services. We are happy to provide clients with referrals for psychological testing if needed, and will coordinate care with any testing specialists whose services are retained.
